Item received damaged/broken

I have just received an item that was unfortunately damaged during transit. Registered post was paid for and entire payment processed through paypal. I believe the item was packed appropriately by the seller. Having never received a damaged item before I am not sure what/who to contact next. I could do with some helpful advice. Thanks.

The process for damaged items is to take them to AusPost along with all the packaging and wrapping and have them inspected. You can then put in a claim for the damages.

 

You should let the seller know that you've done this, but for damages the claims must be done by the receiver.
