Package was only posted today but says its been delivered

So I bought an item from the uk last week and today I got a notification that it has been shipped, however I didnt receive a tracking number, so I sent a message to the seller asking for it. While waiting for a response from the seller my order said it had been delivered despite it only being sent today and coming from another country.  The seller then replied with a tracking number however when I try to track it it either comes up as invalid or shows no results. I am worried I am being scammed or something strange is happening please can I have some advice on what to do.

Sometimes items are also marked as delivered by mistake (when the wrong button is pressed). I have seen this happen with AusPost too.

What is the item number (RHS of the listing page) ?

Was it being sent by the Global Shipping Program ?

By "delivered", if it was being sent by the GSP it may just mean that it's arrived at their postal delivery hub, or it's been picked up by the local carrier.

It says is being posted by the Royal Mail and this is what it shows when press track item

Are you sure that's the correct item number, it doesn't show up in "completed listings" ?

Yes that should be the correct item number as it is on the listing.

I've just had a look at RM tracking and nothing's showing. Who advised you it was "delivered ?

I've just tried the tracking number and it seems to be working now.

Ebay gave me a notification this afternoon (aus time) that the package has been delivered. It is now treating my order as if it has been delivered.

Ebay has seemed to updated my item as not delivered after I messaged the seller.

The item number works on eBay UK, padi. Difficult to know which service the seller used though, as the listing says "may not post to Australia", so I guess the OP messaged the seller and. For the UK, the listing mentions "economy", so maybe they used an economy service to post to Australia too, I don't know. 100% positive fb - the seller seems to be OK.
