Working out click and send postage cost with packaging?

I am new to selling on ebay. I charged my customer $12 for postage cost. This included the postage and packaging cost. I brought 20 of the 3kg click and send satchels for $4.20. So I divided $4.20 by 20 bags to get 21 cents per bag. I then added the 21 cents to the postage cost of $11.70 to make $11.91.  I just rounded this to $12 and charged this to my customer.  Is this what I am supposed to do? That's very reasonable.

I charge $12.90 for shipping the 3kg satchel. Most of our items are boxed before sending in the satchel so the extra covers the costs of bubble wrap and shipping cartons.
