if a seller has a price in postage and dosent have pickup written

if i am able to pick an item up but the seller hasent offered this as an option on the items page with the postage price . I have contacted the seller and they have agreed i can pick the item up without paying postage but i am still not sure if they will try and make me pay the $100+ postage when i turn up if i bid/buy the item even though it wont be posted . where do i stand with this

If the seller is agreeable for you to pick up the item, then you would pay for the item only in cash,

If it is a business, you might be best checking to see if they charge a small handling fee.
