Can you pls explain to me how paypal charges?

I don't understand how the final fee works? I sold aust stamps for $0.55, plus $0.60 postage,  The buyer paid $1.15.  I received 

$ 0.82  in my paypal account.  There was a charge for $0.33 -   Do you have a certain amount for fees- a table perhaps?  would you be able to send me a copy so I will understand more on how you charge because every account is different.

The basic PayPal charge is 2.4% of the total sale including postage plus 30c.
