Re HolySmoke Mini Boom Cassette Deck

I purchased this radio/player 5 months ago and in that time, it has destroyed 5 recorded tapes. I've had enough. I tried to return the item but my item no longer shows up on my purchases listing.

The cassette player is still being sold on eBay, but under another trader's name. I want my money back or I want another player (though I suspect a new one will also be faulty, otherwise why has the seller stopped selling it?).

How do I effect a refund on goods that the eBay system no longer accepts an item number for? The goods are warranted for 12 months - and under Australian Fair Trading laws, I should be able to get my money back. I did manage to get a message to the seller but I had to tick the box that says my question is not about a sold item. If he doesn't reply, how do I proceed?

If you paid by PayPal I suggest opening a case for INAD.

You have 180 days from sale date.

The item will show in your purchase history when you change the option at the top from 60 days to 2017.
