One of those amounts would possibly have been a pre-authorisation hold. The other - in that case - would have been the actual charge.
Pre-authorisation holds are a vexed question. Typically they should only last until the payment has gone through, but different banks and different organisations have shown quite a lot of variation in how long it takes for the hold to be released.
