Is there a good alternative to PayPal?

With the recent problems I've had with PayPal regarding Pending Payments for no good reason, I'd love to hear of any-one who can recommend a good alternative.

Not if you still want to buy/sell on ebay.  You need paypal if you want seller protection and your buyers will not be happy if they do not have buyer protection.

Paymate is no longer supported by ebay.
