Overcharged

G'day,

   My user name is thegazza77. I made a purchase on 7th of March '19, the amount was AU $46.55 with free postage.

However I have been charged $64.89, an extra $18,34. Invoice number 4029357733.

How do I get a refund of the overcharge?
Thank you,

Garry White.

@thegazza77,

Note: you're not contacting eBay by posting on these boards. They are public forums on which any eBay member can post, and the responders are, like you, fellow eBay members who give voluntary helpful advice and information. (The standard of help is usually well above the type of cut-and-paste help provided by eBay customer service.)

We can't check your invoice.

In fact, it's not a good idea to post your invoice number on a public forum. (I reiterate: these are public boards. Anyone can access them - including scammers.) Please be wary of receivingany email purporting to be from eBay or any other entity in relation to this transaction quoting the invoice number, because you've now made that detail public.)

As to your question...

gutterpunkz has suggested that the $46.55 may have been the US price. I think that is probably the correct explanation. There may be other possibilities explaining the discrepancy between $46.55 (which you expected to pay) and $64.89 (which you were apparently charged). One possibility is that you purchased an item that is being sent via the Global Shipping Program, although $18.34 seems low for a GSP component to an eBay purchase.

Can you post the full title of the item that you purchased? That will enable responders here to check the listing and work out what has occurred, and if there was an overcharge, to explain in this thread what to do.
