To add to my message above (that I cannot edit any more) - people are reporting this problem on the US board too, and even in the PayPal community. No solution or explanation has been offered so far though.
If it is really the end of PP on eBay, they could at least have sent us a message, as I doubt everybody knows that the agreement between PP and eBay was supposed to finish in July.
