eBay Marketplaces GmbH .Has taken $80 out of my paypal account ,For what reason ?

Is this a scam?

We have had the same issue, $53.67 AUD. Check the description to see if it says "eBay Seller Fees" apparently ebay have changed the way they charge sellers, which is what this is. Not sure exactly how it works or how they calculate the charges, but there are quite a few similar posts all over the net. If you are unsure, I would suggest querying the payment with Paypal. Same here, They've taken $85 one month and $24 the month before.
Since the payments are made from PayPal and going to eBay, I'll check my purchases there to see what is going on.
The description of fees to eBay Marketplaces GmbH does not help

I'll have to see what was purchased at Market places. Can all of us be wrong if we are querying these charges?

This charge is the sellers' percentage charge for everything you sell. It is charged monthly for your sales of the previous month. They send a message to your eBay inbox a couple of weeks prior, with the heading "your eBay invoice for (MONTH) is ready to view

They just took out $670.00 and i didn't even buy anything shame on you EBAY MARKETPLACE & PAYPAL I will be closing both accounts once this matter has been resolved

The same thing has happened to me over years and years to the tune of $1000+. Paypal have suspended this going forward and I have only sold a very few things over all the years I've been with eBay. Something very dodgy is going on and someone is having a lot of fun times with our hard earned cash. Like you I will be cancelling accounts!! eBay Marketplaces GmbH need to be held accountable for this!

I'm having the same trouble with money taken out of my pay pal account from Ebay market places GmbH. I don't know why I'm being charge $1.65 consistently every month as I don't currently have any ads up to sell anything on Ebay and also I have not sold anything on eBay for at least a few years!!! I might just close both these accounts too!!!

I did buy 3 items.

I queried this with them myself (after taking 10 min to search even how to contact ebay). Mine was a sellers fee and the system got the dates wrong (I sold in November, the invoice said October). I had a (virtual) chat with someone who was helpful and refunded the amount to me, because I complained (but more because it seemed there was a glitch in the system). She then clarified with me that the sellers fee is 10.9%. I did not realize the sellers fee was so much! That is obviously my fault for not realizing - I know there's a spot to check fees when inserting - I hadn't sold on ebay in a few years so hadn't realized the increase! I don't think I'll be selling with ebay much - or only certain types of items - from now on. The agent I chatted with was helpful though.

they took 291 dollars fee and paypal also took 100 dollars when i sold 2300 dollars item.  So i lost near 400 selling at ebay !!!

I can not believe what is happening here. I will never buy or sell anything on ebay !!!  and canceling on paypal as well.

Nothing to do with unknown charges (the subject). Everything to do with you not reading, much less understanding, the T&Cs of selling on eBay. You didn't lose any thing You sold an item and paid the appropriate fees. If you think those fees are unreasonable, refer to my first point.

Yep they changed all their fees adding all these small fees for changing some simple thing on an item listing. I copped a bill over $100 wasn’t expecting and basically in the end earned nothing. Not worth it. Will rarely list anything there anymore. There are plenty of other sites to use.

And Dave, ah yeah sure they have new T&C’s they did not make a point of saying hey, make sure you check out these ridiculous fees for changing one tiny thing in an item listing.  We were always updating our items.. and now we pay 20-50 cents for that alone... na that’s crazy. And sure I get they have fees, why all of a sudden all these hidden fees when they know we make these kinds of changes regularly?  Oh yes I am sure we will all be SO careful how we post the first time around now, if we list at all.  Fair enough, they can have it their way. Doesn’t mean we have to like it... or agree their fees are fair..

Yeah Dave, coz have been selling random items on eBay for a long time but recently I was posting a lot to sell things for my mum. And I was so shocked by my fees also, I contacted them and it took SO long just to find a statement of fees, but still not listed all the specific amounts. Finally I got and invoice and most of my fees were weird fees like changing a listing specific, strange fees like 20 or 50 cents a go. I mean a few of the fees were mine, postage, and I expected a basic fee but I hadn’t sold many of my items so my fees ended up much higher than any of my profits. It’s just not feasible. I’m not upset they they have fees, I just don’t see how they didn’t make it clearer all the specifics, also why the invoice/statement was so damn hard to find. (Only the link by the customer service guy took me to it) and I didn’t receive the itemised statement for another few weeks. When I saw it I removed the 10 or more items I had listed. And you are correct about one thing. Now, never post or use eBay unless you read the fine print and have access to every part of an itemised statement/invoice for fees. These price changes; new link to PayPal etc just screwed a lot of people over. No one was expecting them to get so

So ruthless with fees. Another thing is the $14 fees they warned me of.. coming out of my account.. but the $160 or so I got no warning msg or email from eBay saying they were taking it out. That’s seriously weird and dodgy. Just my experience maybe others are not having the issues. But I’m forewarned...
