Hi,
I have just made my first eBay sale and am having communication difficulties with the buyer.
I sent the buyer a 'thankyou for your purchase' message and asked which payment method they wished to use. I have also sent an invoice to the buyer and a further message regarding payment & postage with no response at all to 3 attempts at contact. The payment terms were "payment within 3 days" and we are now at day 3.
I want to ensure that I follow the correct protocol, but I need to relist the item as there are time constraints (music festival tickets). I was going to wait a few more days in order to give the buyer ample time to pay before lodging a dispute.
Is this the correct way to go about it?
Do I need to wait 4 days after lodging to relist due to the time factor?
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
ebay allow a buyer 8 days to pay for an item.
You can open a non payer dispute after 4 days from the date and time of the sale and then if they have not paid with in the next 4 days you can close the case and issue them a non payer strike and get the FVF refunded and then you can relist.
You can NOT force buyers to pay in 3 days as that is what you want.
