Is afterpay a scam? if not why do i have to use afterpay to get the discount? Why don't Ebay give the discount without using afterpay?.

I have known about afterpay for ages but only signed up when I saw the $10 voucher offer if paying with afterpay. It is not a scam, it is a promotion to get members to use afterpay, sometimes to introduce a member to afterpay. If it was available for all without using afterpay then it wouldn’t be an afterpay promotion, would it?
I used the savings account debit card that I have for just eBay and bought some Huon Pine for $28 ($18 with the $10 off) eBay item number: 125087960824
For me, it was a pretty good deal. The timber was reduced from $70 to $28 and I only had to pay $18 with the voucher.
Worked out at 9 pieces of Huon Pine 470mm x 160mm x 3.5mm for $2 each. The grain is beautiful and will machine up nicely. I already have ideas for how I will use them.
There is one more $4.50 payment due and then it is all done.

There's plenty of discount coupons out there apart from the Afterpay ones.
Because the afterpay discounts will be funded by afterpay in joint arrangement/contract with ebay.
They do, as mentioned
Not sure how many discounts would be enough for some people though
Maybe they want people to try Afterpay because apparently next year (in July I think?) they will dump PayPal for buyers too.
There are other coupons and offers too though, particularly this month (EOFY). They just don't last as long as the Afterpay one.
