Hello all,
I have recently sent 3 items using ebay postage labels, where the items were to large for satchels.
I would like to get a rough idea of the postage cost of a few other items, before I list them.
I don’t want to pack them first, because often buyers want to add additional small items for combined postage.
I am wondering if there is a way to do this, I have been trying with no luck so far.
I would be grateful if anyone could help please.
Measure the item and ad 5cm to each side to allow for bubble wrap... eg. actual item size 22cm x 18cm x 12cm... shipping size 27cm x 23cm x 17cm
When calculating weight, use actual weight of item plus reasonable weight of packaging. For example, if I'm shipping a DVD player that weighs 2.2kg, I'll estimate shipping weight as 3kg.
Always over-estimate. You can always refund an overcharged amount, but you can NEVER ask for more to cover shortfall due to an undercharged amount
