How do I turn off the eBay auto correct function in the search boxes.

I have to type into the item window twice and reset the category switch each time.

For example, I collect old photographic negatives.  When I type in 'negative', the auto correct changes it to 'negative film scanner' and then the categories box to 'scanners'.  It does this only after I hit 'enter'.  I also search variations on this collection theme, and similar things occur.

The paint on my office walls are peeling from the swearing.

I just gave it a try and put 'negative' into the search bar, and it just searched for negative. The other options you mentioned were in a drop down, but I would have had to click on them to choose them.

Are you using firefox as your browser? Its far more ebay friendly than other browsers.
