Seller is bad. Has no return policy and denies any responsibility for faulty item. What recourse do buyers have when eBay is uncontactable?
Buyers are given tools to get their money back in these situations
Tools which have time limits
Did you open an item not as described dispute when you found the seller was not going to help?
You have 30 days after the last estimated delivery date to do that
Or 180 through PayPal if that has how you paid
But do NOT open both disputes at once or they will cancel each other out
When did you buy the item?
How did you pay?
Where is the seller registered?
I am not sure how the seller got around to being able to have no return policy, sellers do not have to accept returns for change of mind, but since you say they sent a faulty item, they do not have a choice
Was it a 'warranty' offered by a seller not authorised to offer one?
You can contact eBay, during their operating hours
But before you do that, you need to follow the process to get your money back
(That is what eBay will tell you to do)
You cab also leave them negative feedback if you have not left it too late to do so
If an item is faulty, you have 30 days since the last day of the estimated delivery to open a case if the seller is unresponsive. You can start a case from your purchase history after finding your item.
Ebay "is" contactable if you start a live chat (normal business hours, including the weekend) from the help page.
If the item did not arrive faulty though and stopped working later and you are referring to a possible warranty, unfortunately if the seller is not an authorized reseller of the item the warranty is not worth much, actually it has hardly any value, although sometimes you might find a cooperative seller, but this does not seem to be the case with your seller.
