I'd really appreciate some assistance with an issue I've not encountered as a seller before.
Somebody used the buy it now option on a dvd I had for sale. Two days later they've sent me a mesage asking me to 'please negotiate the price down'. I told the buyer that the price was firm and that if they didn't want to pay that amount then they needed to send me a request to cancel the purchase. Now I'm wondering if that was the correct thing to do? Thanks for your help.....
I would not have offered to cancel the transaction, I too would wait until the 4 days is up then open an unpaid item dispute. They can then choose to either pay up or get a strike.
They sound like a nightmare customer so if you let them cancel they may very well leave you less than positive feedback out of spite because you would not drop your price. If the unpaid item process is completed then they cannot leave any feedback.
