In the middle of May, a buyer from Israel purchased a LEGO set from me that I sent promptly with tracking. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it sat in Perth airport for 2 months.
During this time, the buyer opened an item not received claim. As the item still hadn't arrived, the buyer asked for eBay to step in and I was forced to give a refund and take a 'strike' against my account, despite providing tracking for the item.
The item has since arrived but I am unable to reopen the case as the item arrived more than a month after the case was closed. I have messaged the buyer to ask if they will send it back to me or pay me for the item.
They have replied, stating that the item has been received but are stalling and making excuses not to return or pay for it.
Is there anything I can do?
did they pay with paypal??? if so you may be able to try a paypal seller protection case... And see what happens via that channel as ya have 180 days via them.
You should be able to get ebay to remove the defect, but apart from that it is pretty much now between you and the buyer.
You can contact ebay via chat and inform them the buyer has admitted the item is now received and won't repay.
eBay may not do anything and claim it is out of their hands but worth a try.
Keep reminding the buyer to repay without being rude.
They may pay just to be rid of you.
