Buyer has requested to hold off on posting item as they are away for 2-2.5 weeks?

Buyer has used Buy it Now to purchase an item.  I have sent std ebay invoice and they have replied that they have no problem with paying now but would appreciate if I could hold off on sending the item until they return home in early August.  The item is relatively rare, was sold for a premium result (above $200). I have advised the buyer to hold off on making payment until I seek further advice (specific to automated seller ratings and buyer and seller protection. All items are send require a signature to accept delivery (so I have no real concerns relating to sending it), I just need more info on the specifics of how long AP would leave the item at the delivery PO before returning and the specific effects inside the ebay system of holding off on posting.  Any advice?
