Hi all,
Can a buyer cancel a paypal payment after an item is posted and before the paypal payment clears?
Item has sold and the Paypal payment is currently on hold in my account.
I plan to send this item with tracking and request a signature as requested by ebay.
As this is an expensive item, I'm extremely reluctant to post before I actually recieve the payment from Paypal.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
If the PayPal payment is an E-cheque do not post until it has cleared. You’ll receive an email from PayPal stating it has cleared. Yes the buyer can cancel the payment but only if it’s an e-cheque
I am assuming the sale is under another ebay account, does the 21 day holding period on funds still apply to that account.
As Lyndal has said, your handling time commences once you are advised the item has been paid for.
Once you have been notified that you have been paid you are expected to post within your specified handling time.
You can check in your paypal account to see if the payment is there and cleared.
You are leaving yourself open to a late posting defect if you wait to transfer it to your bank account.
