Difficult Buyer Problem

Hi there,

 

I recently sold an item to a Brand New Buyer who has given me nothing but grief!

 

-Her feedback at the time was "0" but she paid immediately by PayPal, so I thought all was ok.

 

Then after a week a PayPal Dispute was opened for "Item not Received". I hadn't received any communication before this from the buyer but I was certain all would be ok after I had provided tracking information.

BUT oh no -

Next the dispute was changed to "not as described". I knew I had sent the item in good order and I had checked it thoroughly but I couldn't prove it could I? So I agreed to refund her money on return of the item.( I would have done this if there had been earlier communication)

The returned item was not as I had sent it. It reeked of perfume and had obviously been worn. The other issues she complained about were non existant. Which I can't prove to PayPal, so she was refunded.

 

Now she refuses to cancel the transaction and has left me negative feedback - my first ever as a seller.

I have done everything I could to resolve the issue but she won't communicate at all with me.

 

I rang Ebay and they said that nothing can be done unless she agrees to change the feedback but she won't communicate with me!

They advised me to respond to the feedback left but how can I worn other sellers?

 

I'm devastated as I've never had a dispute lodged against me before.

I have great feedback of 1730 which means nothing in the scheme of things.

 

Can anyone advise me please?
