Is an email address allowed to be displayed in a listing or does that violate eBay policy?

Just curious to know if sellers are allowed to list their email address in their eBay listings? I always thought it was against policy however I have seen a few eBay listings lately that include their email address within their listing details.

eBay don't allow email addresses in listings.

Not to mention the plethora of spam n scam emails they would get.
