Just received an unexpected box of ebay plus tape ... what the?

Not sure what's going on, is this a freebie? I certainly didn't order it or have it offered to me, I hope I'm not being charged for it. Anyone else received it?

I got an email months ago saying they would send me 100 rolls.

I have not got it and presume like most things ebay there was small print that meant I would get nothing.

It's all a bit ridiculous, offering things to sellers, then not following through.

Or, as in my case, bewildering sellers by sending things with no consultation or explanation.

I got a box of standard eBay tape a few years ago.

If you didn't order it, they can't charge for it.

I wouldn't be using it, but my listings don't qualify for Plus.

If it's a freebie, I'm very grateful, because it means I won't have to buy packaging tape for quite some time! Just super surprised, don't often get free stuff sent to me ...

And if you use said eBay tape the 'lost in the mail' on those items vs those using standard clear packing tape goes through the roof. Like MASSIVE spike.

I've been using the ebay plus tape on most parcels, and have not had a problem.

I use the eBay tape. As my items go in standard AP satchels, using AP MyBusiness labels, I'm not worried about using it.

I've never had a problem sending or receiving a parcel with eBay tape on it. I'd like to see the stats on how many parcels go missing because they have eBay tape on them. eBay can be used to purchase quite mundane items - personally I'd pinch something that was certain of being a better find like Apple or an electronics store! (Kidding)

I got sent so much tape that I've been covering entire boxes with it. Makes a tatty box look better, and adds a bit more strength and durability. Not had one go missing yet.
