Hello
i am a seller. I posted 10 parcels on the 2nd of August and, only 4 have made it to their destinations. I have lodged lost items with aust post, and spoke with a representative this morning, and was told that I can take up to 10 days for any further response from them.
Given that it is already 14 days since posting, waiting on response, which I don't have a lot of faith in them finding these items, could blow this out to a month.
I don't believe it is fair on buyers, so I would like to refund all buyers and hope that if item arrives to them, they will re pay then. What do people think?

Have any of the buyers contacted you to say their item hasn't arrived? If they haven't, I'd sit tight for now and wait for them to contact. If the items were sent tracked, often the tracking isn't scanned as being delivered, so they may well have the item. I had several in June that never showed as being delivered, but I know the buyers got them as they left feedback and came back and bought more. The buyers will let you know if they didn't arrive.
I admire your honesty and genuine concern. Sometimes due to reasons unknown things can take longer than expected to arrive. Don't refund anyone until you hear from them. Not all buyers are honest, so they would be happy to keep the item and the refund. Even if it arrived next week, some wouldn't consider repaying.
