Purchased item, does not appear in my Ebay purchases

I purchased an item by PayPal and the money went through eBay commerce.  The item does not appear in my eBay purchases and it has not arrived.  I cannot remember the sellers name and cannot find a record of it on eBay.  Any ideas? Thank you

Did you perhaps buy as a guest?

Or did you log in with social media instead of with username and password?

As you haven't purchased for a while, unless you're posting with a different ID,  also check to see if  your 

Purchase History page  > See Orders >  drop down box option       is set to the correct timespam
