how do i remove immediate payment (as a seller and buyer)? I never chose this option.

Have noticed this happening more and more - having to pay immediately - with my regular sellers that I purchase from and with my own buyers.  I never chose this setting.  Can I get rid of it for both my buying and selling and how please?

As a seller, you need to un-tick the immediate payment required button and check that it stays unticked 

I imagine this is something else eBay changes so ‘help’ (aka stick their nose in) sellers, just like they add in make an offer or click and collect on things without the seller’s knowledge or permission 

No, you can’t remove it when you are the buyer if that it what the seller chooses to ask for, it does not matter how often you buy from them as that option covers ALL people buying from them, not just you

What you can do is send them a message before buying and ask for a special listing

Can I just check with your how to do that. I think I've done it correctly (and I haven't changed it). Been browsing on here and it appears this happens when buyers use the app that they can't have combined postage. However I don't use an app and I've been through this before myself as a buyer being taken straight into immediate payment with my fave sellers who I do know offer combined post and when I've queried them they don't know what's happening either ...
Really getting sick and tried of these ímprovements Ebay makes without my knowledge! I am aware it's all to their advantage to make more money but so not fair on buyer or seller AND it is such a pain to ask for a refund though Ebay and they so often muck it up anyway so you have to chase up that it has been done ...
