"Funds on Hold" <-- what a joke!

What a joke. Been a member for 18 years, sold many items, 100% positive feedback. Sure i haven't sold anything recently but to have my funds "held" until delivery confirmed seems absurd.

it'll be the last thing i sell on eBay.

No doubt you would have read the "new sellers" policies when you signed up and got verified for Managed Payments then listed your item. So the payment hold would have been no shock to you.

eBay will often release the funds when tracking shows the item delivered and/or positive feedback is left by the buyer.

I hope that was sarcasm? 90% of people don't read that garbage. Regardless its a ridiculous policy. I'm sure eBay are happy to have all that extra money sitting in their account for a while.

Sarcasm ? No not really, it's up to people to read T&C's for anything they agree to. In regards to it being a "ridiculous policy", it's there to cut down on scam sellers/hacked accounts, which can be part and parcel of the perils of buying on-line. You did mention scams in your other post on the boards......

Padi, your profile shows that you have never received feedback as a seller so anything you have said up until this point has been rendered completely irrelevant. I don't think that there's any point for you to make any further contribution here. All the best

Ah Padi, it seems we have another one who thinks that policies dont apply to them. I suppose if you stick your head in the sand for 18yrs and then expect ebay to operate purely for your benefit, you are bound to be disappointed. Another one who could not be bothered doing 5 minutes research before listing or Any research before signing on to managed payments

Also they seem to be unaware that you are allowed to have multiple ebay accounts.  Have not learnt much in 18yrs

Members here use posting ID's and have other seller accounts in the 10,000's. You can have 8 eBay accounts linked to one PP account.

As for the initial remark, ebay implemented the holds to curb hijacked accounts, an excellent function IMO.

If there are any sellers so desperate to have their funds on eBay sales, then there are a few ways to hurry the payout.

The responders here have a great deal of experience on eBay. Many will use a posting ID as is not only permitted but encouraged by eBay.
