Typing text when trying to contact sellers

has anyone had issue typing text when trying to contact sellers

you have to hit send message, then start typing

Nah that doesn't work the send massage is greyed out

Are you using the app or the full site? Is it a general question for the seller, or an issue/problem you have with something you bought (I only ask, because if there is an issue, there is a time limit to open a dispute, so best go straight to it if that is the reason)

It's annoying, counterintuitive and really dumb ..... but no amount of complaining is going to change it I'm afraid
