I sold two items to the same buyer (totalling $430 at auction end). He then asked to cancel transactions due to unforeseen circumstances 2 days after the auction. Despite his asking me not to, I opened a non payment case or whatever it's called against him (I did this yesterday). He's now saying I still have to cancel the transaction. He has feedback of over 1000 so he's an experienced Ebayer. Despite that, even only yesterday, 4 days after the auction end, he's sending me messages saying "ALso did not realise the item was pick up only and I am in Queensland, another reason I have to cancel". What a dope. Do I have to do anything after opening up the case? Does Ebay refund my selling fees as I have had to relist the items now. Thank you in advance for your help.
DO NOT cancel the case or you will not get your FVF back. Exactly after 4 days (to the second) since you started the NPB case, there will be option to close the case by hitting the link/button saying "the buyer did not pay" (or something like that, only then you will get the FVF back, the buyer will get a strike and will not be able to leave FB. If they leave bad FB before the case is closed, it will be removed once you notify eBay.
In this moment just ignore them, do not communicate.
