on my feedback some of my buyers list themselves as private, which doesnt show what they purchased can i stop this, or is it the buyers choice to do this.
No, it's not the buyer's choice. Check those listings, they must have been set up as Private Listings.
In the section Choose a format and price you can tick or untick to make the listing private.
