Interesting that AP brought out 1kg satchels but didn't publicise it, or did I blink and miss it? They're on their website but of course they're out of stock. I rang my PO to check and they don't have any, yet they usually get a few sent out without asking when there's a new product. I'd imagine there'd be a fairly big demand for them!

I would love for them to make some 1kg eBay branded satchels to use with eBay's click and send system. I mainly use the 500g ones, and most of the 3kg eBay satchels I use are for items between 500g and 1kg. And with the eBay satchels its really nice to not have cash tied up in pre-paid satchels, and be able to pay for shipping the end of the month after sales have cleared and I've received payment.
Maybe I'll grab a 10 pack of these 1kg satchels anyway, and see how long it takes to use them up.

bx1 boxes are $7.40 postage through eBay plus box (from AP) $1.75 in singles. Good for up to 860g as the box weighs 140g. The only real value eBay postage service. And STILL cheaper than a 1kg satchel.
It really pays to research your options. Especially when the eBay postage system provides proof of address whereas handwritten addresses on a prepaid satchel doesn't.

Yes I have researched my options, davewil - the BX1 box is too shallow for many of the items I send - satchels work better for me as their flexible shape allows more padding around fragile items. Not everyone sells books, y'know! 😄
And everything I send is photographed before despatch, so proof of address is not an issue for hand-written pre-paid satchels.

And I wonder how long ebay will take to update their postage options to include the 1kg satches? If ever.

i've now been using the 1kg express post satchels for over a year and despite repeated emails and suggestions to ebay to include it on the postage options list - it still hasn't been added

Oh dear - typical.
I used one of the postal options the other day - can't rememebr which - and ebay said it wasn't a valid option. One then has to ask - why the h**l is it one of the choices then? and yet valid options such as the 1kg satchel - are not.

Oh that would be parcel post + tracking. Apparently that doesn't exist any more in the world accoring to eBay. There is another option too where that error comes up, but I can't remember which one now. I haven't quite worked out what they would call a parcel + tracking.

Gday all,
I had this come up today when I edited some items from 3kg to 1kg satchels...
From memory the option it accepted was Aust Post Parcel Post Parcel - without any mention of tracking or delivery days.
Take Care - Jo
ps I used flat rate to price postage

Yes they are available but not via ebay labels or MyPost so my guess is they will not provide online Proof of Posting
for INR claims. Please correct me if I have made an incorrect assumption.
