3 strikes and you're out...... Yeah right!

Had yet another non payer. At the time she purchased hardly had any feedback with only one seller stating non payer. Gave the women just over 2 weeks to pay after promise after promise. Opened a NPB dispute and closed it after 4 days.

Buyer only registered end of June 2016 but boy has she been busy......189 feedback a in 6 weeks. Just received 3 emails from eBay stating "Suspicious Buyer".....

Well it only took eBay 24 disputes before she was made NARU. And they're only the sellers who left feedback stating NPB!

Yep! Nice to see eBay takes the 3 strikes and you're out policy very seriously!!!

There has never been a three strikes policy as far as I am aware.   Have you ever seen it or are you relying on hearsay?

There is one buyer on the "following" list on this account who has over 800 comments from sellers about not paying. Of course there would be some that didn't know to open a dispute, but at least half would have. That would be 400+ NPB disputes. Definitely no 3 strikes and you're out there. She had been reported by countless people and eBay just let her continue. It's been awhile since I checked, but last time I did several months ago she was still getting new NPB feedback.

I've never seen it written anywhere but when i first joined ebay back in about 2001 or so, I remember being under the impression there was a 3 strikes and you're out policy too.

I don't know if there actually was, but I do recall buying a couple of times from people who had all good feedback and not getting my item & waiting, sending queries etc & by the time I lost my temper & decided to give neg feedback, others had been before me and the person had been deregistered.

I've no idea what the official policy in ebay was back then but for sure, people seemed to get kicked off after half a dozen or so infringements in a very short time, whereas that doesn't seem to be the case so much now.

Mind you, I am talking about sellers here.

Back then, it was perfectly easy for a seller to just keep the money and not post an item and all a buyer could do really was give them a neg, which was not satisfactory as they could not get money back. Maybe ebay had to be more on the ball in those circumstances.

The 3 strike and out policy was definitely a thing back in the day.  I do recall issuing strikes to buyer's (3 being the magic number) that did result in their account being suspended, but this was years ago now.

Word from customer support is that "excessive" indiscretions "could" result in their account being limited.

Yeah had blocks in place but somehow this one managed to slip through either because at the time she only had one or two strikes, and then KAPOW,
