Hi all,
I had asked this question many weeks ago on somebody else's thread.... but then I forgot that I asked it and then could no longer find the thread, so I will ask it here again.
If one has to send a parcel, 500g or under with their own packaging ( in Perth it costs $6.60 and I'm guessing it's the same throughout Australia? ), is there a cut off dimension size that Australia Post won't accept? I'm not talking about boxed up items, I mean awkwardly formed, or bulky or soft items that can easily be sent as standard post and wrap up myself.
About a week ago I sent something of this nature and it was about half a pillow size (imagine folding a pillow in half - that's roughly how big it was) and AP accepted it with no worries. So I'm wondering how much bigger can my parcels be before they say NO, too big!
On a different note.... about a week ago I had also asked if anybody knew if I was able to sell / send cacti/succulents within Australia and I did finally get an answer from Quarantine, which I actually didn't like (LOL).
I was told that if I wanted to send those sorts of plants, there'd be a $58 certification charge. (ouch).
So in the end I decided if I were to place them on eBay, it would only be local pick up.
Problem solved. 😄
Cheers!
