Hi there all,
I made a sale today however I have noticed that my earnings are less than they should’ve been.
I see that eBay has a promotion running and it’s on lots of my items over $30 6% off which I haven’t authorised..
is that 6% meant to be worn by eBay and not myself? Because that seems unfair to me
so I had my item listed for $35.80.. it got sold at $32.22 and then an extra 12% fee taken off that too.. what do I do?
last photo is an example of the offer that’s on my items over $30
thanks in advance
krystal

When you buy something with an eBay voucher code, the seller receives the selling price less fees. It's an eBay promotion which eBay funds. It provides buyers with a discount without any expense to the seller.
You do realise that 6% of $35.80 is about $2.15, right? It's not $3.58, which is actually 10%
I could be wrong, but it looks to me as though an offer is involved - a 10% off offer to be precise. Given that a number of your listings have offers enabled, I'd say this is the most likely scenario.

Go to your original listing or the item page and have a look at the price of $35.80. If it has been struck through, this indicates acceptance of an offer.
Examples in attached pics... original listing showing full price ($4.95) struck through... item page showing accepted offer ($4.00) struck through... and order details simply showing actual selling price - not struck through

Do I not need to accept the offer though if there was one? I never sent one to this buyer.
so it’s actually a 22% deduction on this item I’ve had with the 12% fee and then almost 10% less of the sale price. It doesn’t tell me anywhere where that 10% has come from.
if I have offers enabled on my listing doesn’t that just mean they can send me an offer and I can choose to accept or decline? Or does eBay automatically send offers?
however I have checked original listing.. and no strike through line.
I’m relatively new to all of this so thanks for helping me understand, much appreciated.

Offer settings allow for an automated acceptance. They can also be sent automatically, in which case it wouldn't be the seller who is required to accept, but rather the buyer. In any case, I've never seen an accepted offer without the strikethrough.
For promoted listings, the promotional fee appears separately so that's not it.
Sorry, but right now I can't think of any reason for the 10% price difference.

Looks a little like you may have an 'Automated offer' in place. The offer is sent to buyers that 'favourite' a listing or place a listing in their cart.
Go to your Marketing section in Seller Hub, then look under 'Buyer groups' - if you have an automated offer in place it will be listed there.
The offer/discount does not show up on the transaction details of sales that have accepted this offer
