The price won't change unless a different bidder places a bid, which is due to the proxy bidding system implemented on eBay (it's relatively simple in function, but I find it can be a bit complicated to try and explain in detail. The basic jist is that the price of the item is determined by next highest bid from a different member - if any have been placed - so the price won't change unless there are competing bids).
