In my early eBay trading days I was told by eBay that they like to create a level playing field.
It is the sellers who create the enormous wealth for eBay, but are not permitted to leave a buyer negative feedback when they don't pay or leave unjustified negative feedback for the seller.
A buyer has the ability to leave negative feedback against a seller who doesn’t do the right thing for any amount of reasons. I appreciate that, because not only am I a seller but also a buyer, and I always check what feedback has been left by past buyers on a particular item I am looking at.
It’s a shame that sellers don’t have to right to leave buyers feedback for exactly the same reasons.
I ASK ALL EBAY SELLERS TO PETITION EBAY REGARDING THE ABILTY TO LEAVE THE APPROPRIATE FEEDBACK AGAINST BUYERS.
This can be done by emailling any or all of the email addresses below. I am confident that if sufficient emails are received by eBay it will make them sit up and take notice.

Do you realise that your Poll is headed "Ability to leave SELLERS negative feedback"?
Buyers already have the ability to do that. If that is taken away there would be no point in having feedback at all.

Whatever a person's opinion/view might be it's very important to get facts right when looking for support.
The poll is a complete misnomer conflicting with the posting - "Vote in Poll: Ability to leave sellers negative feedback"
And
"It is the sellers who create the enormous wealth for eBay" - the original source of the money making up Ebays 'wealth' derives from the buyers ~ there will always be someone with something to sell but not always a buyer. At best it’s a joint effort between buyers and sellers that create the wealth - but it’s the money that counts.

ever since ebay started some 17yrs or so ago there has been the ability to leave sellers a negative f/b, so what exactly is your gripe?
sorry I just dont know why you are partitioning to get something that has been in place for nearly 2 decades

If you need an example : I clearly advertised AS IS , and when it didn't work he left negative feedback - my 10 years of establishing 100% positive feedback went to 75% with one negative - who want's to deal with someone with a 75% feedback...??'
Does Ebay not realise they are losing business - I certainly would be wary dealing with someone with 75 % feedback
.
see Item number: 280917662566 - the description was very clear and Ebay couldn't or wouldn't do anything
Can anyone tell me how many positive I now need to get back to 100%
thanks.............

1000 or 12 months whichever comes first. 12 months at a guess if you've only sold 4 items in the last 12 months

Scratch that. You have feedback as a seller for one item in the last 18 months and nothing for sale. So definitely 12 months.
I think you're lucky; it should actually be 66.7% as you've only acquired positives for 2 items in the last 12 months.

It doesn't matter what business you are in, customer satisfaction is going to be an important part of any successful business.
Most businesses would probably be happy to say that 90% of their customers are satisfied. On eBay, you are held to unattainable standards, you need to have 99% customer satisfaction, and even your satisfied customers can then cause problems if they leave you low DSR ratings
So what does eBay expect from their sellers, well maybe not perfection .. but very close to it! Can you imagine if all businesses were held to the same standards eBay sellers are? Imagine if the "Better Business Bureau" would come along closing down hotels and restaurants if they had 1 or 2 complaints out of 100 customers? It doesn't sound very realistic does it?

Feedback IS important but it would be nice to have all HONEST feedback. I had a buyer lay a DSR of 2 on me because they were charged $10.95 when the actual cost of postage was $10.80
Thankfully there aren't too many of these creepy crawlys out there.

Surely eBay could after a seller closes an Unpaid Item Dispute change it so the seller then can leave a negative and the buyer is blocked from leaving feedback
With all the technology these days and as rich as ebay is, surely they can do something

Well teddy, enjoy your sellers playground and no buyers on QS.. I won't be shopping there...
If you have eBay so much, why don't you leave? Are you being paid cash for comment for advertising QS?
