Why is it that ebay allows a buyer to abuse sellers repeatedly but does not do anything to penalise the buyer?.
I had 100% perfect feedback until I had a creepy called "removed" abused and defamed me, and threatened police action, without the slightest attempt to resolve HIS issue. Paypal refused to refund his payment to me based on my selling history, but I still keep the abusive feedback.
Now I find this cretin has 35 outstanding highly abusive interactions with other ebay members and I have still not had recourse from ebay.
I HAVE STOPPED SELLING UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED and I look elsewhere to BUY!! Fix this ebay,
its completely inequitable and leaves a VERY BAD TASTE in my mouth.

Your buyer had every right to be angry.....you have a photograph of a coin that could well be Uncirculated but you were not even selling that coin. It is a different year to the years in the listing.
There are no photos of the actual coins you are selling so the buyers have no way of judging the condition. Obviously your opinion of their condition was different to the buyer's opinion.
If you want to sell coins you at least need to show the actual coins that are on offer, even if you do not know how to grade them or describe them correctly.
Ebay will not remove that negative as it is the buyer's opinion of the transaction. And he would not win a Not As Described case as there were no descriptions and no photos of the items for sale.
You deserve every word of that feedback.

On the contrary, the daya I sent the coins to this buyer I sent him an email advising of shipment and said that if he had any issues with the sale, I would refund both the purchase price AND shipping, no questions asked. BEFORE he received the coins he was aggressive and threatening. I heard nothing for some time then got negative feedback, without any attempt at communication. He then got my contact details from ebay and threatened police action. MULTIPLE attempts to resolve the matter, even after the negative feedback, resulted in further abuse. The coins I sent were as described. If he was not happy, he had full refund options and I have not have negative feedback before. This creepy, on the other hand, has multiple negatives and has a record of abusive coonduct online. He was spoiling for a fight. I have sold a number of coins this way without any issues.

That is the whole point....the description was almost non-existant and did not describe the item photographed.
If you have sold a number of coins with scant description and incorrect photos then you have been very lucky or you have had buyers who have no idea about coins.

As a long time coin collector of both pre decimal and proof decimal, who doesn't give negatives, I would have negged you too. In fact, I just wouldn't have bought from you full stop as I want to see photos of coins I am buying, especially when it comes to pre decimal. You're lucky you didn't cop a neg off your Florin listing either because the year in the photo was not one that was available for sale.
Would you post a photo of a 1930 Penny and list every year but that? No? Then don't do it with any other coins. It's deceptive and genuine collectors may see it as a scam. You have to remember that a lot of people only look at the title and the photo, especially on phones.
You can't use stock photos when it comes to coins. You're asking for trouble if you do.

EXACTLY!!!! I'm wondering where 'cosmetically good' comes into the real condition of a coin? A new coin in circulation looks good too.....until you look at it under a magnifying glass, then you realise just how scratched up they are. They may look new and shiny, but they are far from it.
If I buy Pennies that have KGV, I want to know how many pearls are on it and I want to SEE for myself how many there are. If I buy silver coins, I want to be able see the actual coin so I can make an informed choice. I want to know the condition, UNC, cUNC, VG, good, fair, etc. Those listings told nothing about the true condition of the coins. He's very lucky no-one reported the listings as a scam.
I'm surprised he sold anything at all. Again, I agree, the other buyers obviously don't know much about coins.

do you have ESP? The reason I ask is because of something I saw on your feedback page. I took a screen grab to show it (I underlined some)
