Account got suspended. Can someone advice me how to avoid this?

This ebay account I created on eBay.com. Now I'm in Australia and want to start selling on eBay.com.au. Even though my ebay account is 10 yers old and has good reputation as a buyer I only got 10 items per month limit or 5000 US dollars.

Even I change my account location to Australia, my account limit value still shows in US dollars. So I tried creating a new account in ebay.com.au. For that new account, I received 100 item limit and 500 Australian dollar limit. As I wanted higher item limit than dollar value, I prefer this new account.

After I list a few items in my new Australian Ebay account, one buyer bought an item from me. After within 05 min of the purchase, I received an email saying my account is suspended. The email I reived had no exact reason mentioned for the suspension.

here is some part of that letter.

*********************************************

After reviewing your eBay account, we've noted several concerns with your recent activity. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Your eBay account has been suspended.
- Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.

We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay community.

While suspended, you won't be able to use eBay. Registering a new account may hinder any option to appeal to your account. If you would like to appeal this action, we need to verify your account information and your eBay activity directly with you.

**********************************************

01) I wonder why the account suspended as soon as someone purchased. The buyer was a new account opened in 2018 with one review. Did eBay suspect I use my own account to make the purchase?

02) I have used some photos send by my Alibaba supplier. They gave permission for that. Is this against eBay policy?

03) Can I continue to sell in Australia from my old account which was created on eBay.com? Or should I create a new account in eBay.com,au.   The selling limit is very lower in my old account than they allow in new Australian accounts. Even my account shows limit in US dollars.

Thanks.

Started his posting account on eBay.com

Changed the location to Australia (shortly after started posting on these boards)

Started a new account on eBay.au

Sold one item . . . got that account suspended

Whether he has been told or not, ALL of his accounts are probably suspended.  Just a bit of lag time in notifying him and removing his current listings.  Maybe if one of them sells it will be suspended.

You're supposed to learn by reading up on the rules in the Seller Centre, which you'll find a link to across the bottom of the page. There's no easy way - you have to make the time and effort to read up on the rules BEFORE you start selling. We're not going to hold your hand all the way - YOU have to put in some effort!  We all had to do it so don't expect to get a free ride at everyone else's expense.

Have you rung ebay? It may be something simple and they did actually mention the fact that you can appeal. It could be the fact that you opened a second account and it looked like you wanted to bypass the selling limits. It could be that your too-cheap prices screamed scam. It could be because all your listings had outside websites showing.

I've said it before and I daresay I'll waste my time saying it again, but you need to learn to crawl before you can walk!!!

I don’t suggest you give up.  I suggest you carefully read the emails eBay send you and comply with them i.e. when eBay tell you not to start a new account as it may affect your ability to appeal then do not open a new account.

They also told you in that email “If you would like to appeal this action, we need to verify your account information and your eBay activity directly with you” so contact them and verify your account information.

They might just feel that your account has been hijacked since

- it has been a while since you bought anything

- activity has been noted in different countries

- a new account using the same IP address was opened and started selling.

It might just be a simple case of eBay being cautious.

My advice Is still to find a post by countess that outlines how to get eBay to call you back and speak with them about this.  They might need you to fax/email them a utility account (in your name) or some other ID such as drivers licence.  Some years back I had to do that.  It is to protect against money laundering.

When you ring them you could possibly refer them to your forum posts, to back up what you say.

He said in the other thread he'd decided to heed our advice and not open a business account (words to that effect) so I assume he didn't open a store (yet).
