Adding extra to the package...is it OK?

I've sold a few things in the past but recently I listed 3 Nintendo DS games that are too old for my daughter (they came with a second hand DS I bought her when she was in hospital & as she is only young I bought her a couple of age appropriate games).

Anyway, only one game sold & as I have absolutely no use for these games I was just going to chuck them all in the parcel as they will still be under the weight of the satchel I quoted for.

I am assuming it is OK to put MORE in than the buyer purchased but I wanted to check to make sure I wasn't leaving myself open to problems.

Any thoughts?

I think it's a lovely thought! Just last week I had a seller post a christmas card and a cute little phone charm with the item I had purchased!

I've purchased from her a few times before, and I find if a seller is willing to do something extra out of pure kindness, I will want to come back and buy from them again. (it doesn't have to be much, a little thank you note is always sweet).

If you were to run into any problems sending free games with the buyers original game purchase, I would be incredibly surprised.

I don't think that the buyer will mind instead they will be happy that they have a free gift as long as it's still working and related.. I do that occassionally where I put extra gift to my customer as my way of thanking them and they give me a good feeback in return..

OP it is a lovely thing to do. I would just suggest you pop a note in the parcel along the lines of : Thanks for your purchase. I thought you would like a couple of extra free ones as well, Merry Christmas.. as you would be surprised that sometimes buyers think you have just made a mistake with your packaging.

make very sure in the enclosed note that these other things are complimentary, no  strings attached.

these sorts of gestures can backfire.
