Advice on the cheapest AP postage method for approx 3 X 15kg boxes

not sure if a postie can answer this so i'll ask here

my time selling here i never had any chargebacks.. sticking with standard postage

but there are times with expensive items i wanna cover my rrrrs

it will be a pick-up listing, and will offer to post the item via AP to anywhere in oz

...and would cooperate with their courier if need be.

so PP payment option will have to be offered.

i intend to use empty wine boxes for the packaging as it fits well for A4 size magazines...not sure if C&S parcels can handle this kind of weight?

i know there are answers on this board but with all postage threads around lately ive forgotten where it is.

am i better off sticking with using these wine boxes, and which AP service for PP seller protection, whats the cheapest?

thanx

C&S flat rate boxes are excellent, and very cheap to post heavy items,  check the B4, B2 or B1 size, as these qualify for C&S,  If the items fit into a satchel I would guess they will easily fit into one of these boxes,   and you can lodge and pay online as you do for the satchels.

these magazine stack quite high at approx 15kg weight.. theyre 28cm in height

i would send them like that in satchels, doubt they'd fit? & i doubt plastic satchels would be suitable & study enough to avoid damage in transit.

i would make a trip to the post office to send off this item, could a C&S sticker be added to my wine boxes? i know C&S postage covers me for PP protection, would this be the cheapest way too?

Re: Advice on the cheapest AP postage method for approx 3 X 15kg boxes

The B4 size is the largest flat rate Aus Post box you can send flat rate, the box will cost you $3.20,  the dimensions are Width: 430mm   Depth: 305mm   Height: 140mm,  you can lodge on line and pay exactly the same as a satchel,  except maximum weight is 15 kilos.  and the cost of postage Au wide is $13.25,

so if the items will fit in the box, and weigh up to 15k, the total cost to post to anywhere in Au will be $16.45.    if you are posting to a destination less than 50k from where you post from, you are better off sending regular post at less than $9, or a little more for outside that zone.

Just remember only the B1, B2 and B4 sizes qualify for the C&S flat rate lodge and pay online option.

If you do a C&S dummy run, the code for the B4 box is 00090.
