Hi everybody.
I am going to register GST as the sales is getting close to GST line $75K.
Apparently any export items are GST free so I want to get sales report which shows total domestic sales and total global sales. I looked for everywhere but i can't find it...
By the way, 10% GST is killing me... the profit will be nothing if I don't increase price. I want to know any opinion and comment from people here how can you clear a hurdle of GST???

You need to factor the GST into your pricing if you are not going to lose money.

Keep in mind tho, that anything you purchase that has a GST component, in relation to your business, is also an input tax credit against the GST you need to pay on your sales. So this helps to lighten the load a bit.
But yes as was said you need to factor GST into your item prices so the buyer pays it, not you. As is the case in every B&M store.

PLEASE SPEAK TO YOUR ACCOUNTANT BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS SUGGESTION - Do you have a spouse or partner ? They could set up a completely different ID and ebay store selling similar items in their own name. They would need seperate business registration details, seperate paypal account and seperate bank account in their name. This would allow you and your partner to sell $149,000 before becoming liable for GST and also allow ebay income to be split for tax purposes. Whoever earns the least non ebay income could initially sell more on ebay, untill you get close to the $150,000 GST threshold for two stores, at which point you would both sell the same amount.
This business structure does work and is being used by some ebayers now, BUT PLEASE TALK TO YOUR ACCOUNTANT BEFORE YOU EVEN START.

It's about time the limit was increased to $100 000 for inflation, CPI, etc but probably won't happen.
A $75 000 limit in real terms is actually a reduction of the threshold every year....

Download your complete PayPal histories as a .csv file and you will find all that info in one of the columns.
You should then be able to set up a lookup in excel to count the sales to various countries.
