Hello
I have noticed, only because it was an odd address, that I had a repeat buyer, and I have looked everywhere in my settings of my basic store ($20 a month one), as to how I can easily see this information... is there anyway to have it shown they are a repeat customer, or just when i download reports etc, I can search on the names?
Sorry in advance if there is a really easy answer I have missed
Cheers
Michelle

Probably just have a scroll through your feedback. If they did bother to leave some, their id will be there for you to see.

There is no icon or anything that shows a repeat buyer. It is something that I always suggest when we get those eBay surveys. It can't be that hard to add a flag to the buyer's ID in the sales order.

i know this problem.
what i do is, i go to my paypal account and run the email address...
'View all of my transactions > Find a transaction > add the email address and adjust the search date back from about 5 years or so.
this way you will find all transactions you had with this buyer.

Wow, Thanks for that, I too have been hoping for a quick and easy way to flag repeat buyers, this way that you have suggested is not something that I had thought of. Will try it out, cheers and thanks for the tip.

Wouldn't it be a nice function to have in Ebay. Yes agree wholeheartedly that it shouldn't be a very hard thing to be able to flag a repeat buyer. We would love to be able to reward repeat buyers, but will try the tip from auntie, and see how that goes. Is a possible option for ones that "ring a bell".

I keep an EXCEL spreadsheet of all my customers- Full details as shown on the PayPal transaction page, (Name address email username, phone, what they purchased, price, purchase date, sent date).
Takes a little time to collect the data but well worth it.
My customers are my future business and have been doing this sort of thing for decades; first, with a bricks and morter travel agency, and now selling Stamp Albums on CD on Ebay.
Very handy when you have something new that might interest a past customer. I also use it to update my customers on changes to what they have bought.

I was thinking of downloading the info on excel from the SM page... but might also look in to thr PayPal transaction information I get too.
I'm not too flash on excel... merging scares me Bhahahaha
Cheers again all 🙂

I have my invoicing program set up to tell me if an exact name is already in my customer list.
When it dings the name, I check, but doesn't happen often.
Most of the time it's the same customer but sometimes it's someone new with a diff address, I.D. etc.

It seems like a no brainer really doesn't it. Would be such an asset for offering really geat personal Customer Service. I have also sent messages to CS and phoned them, blahblahblah, the usual, they agree it sounds like a great idea, sure, they'll pass it on and then nothing eventuates . . . . .
But I do like some of the suggestions made here and will definitely be trying them
