Hi Just trying to find out whether my listing template is allowed to contain the shop's physical address?

I realise that's what you meant, but by doing so your are giving people a means to contact you outside ebay, which would be a violation of their Direct Sales policy. There was no way any prospective buyer could contact me other than through ebay messages, as there was no email address, no phone number, no private address, just the words "contact me":|

Hi again, for anyone wondering I just chatted to ebay and they said it was fine to add a bricks and mortar address. Thanks for your input everyone. Merry Christmas

frizz... you could probably get around it by saying, I am happy to post all orders 1 day after receiving your payment, or item can be collected from our Shop at 123 This Street, Somewhere between the hours of 9am and 4pm Mon/Sat....
or whatever.

if you offer buyers the ability to pick up items then you would have to include your address in order to give a thorough and accurate description of the item and it would also mean prospective buyers would not have to email you asking where you are located.

ok so fine for a B&M store but advertising your own web page, is that a policy violation? Cause thats what i initially thought the OP meant.

yes it can. ebay basically makes different rules for different sellers so who knows. they may target your account yet never touch another of their 'favourites'

I'm on their hate list so that's probably why I got pinged:^O

motherbear, i found this lol
"A link that says โemail meโ which opens an email client or Web form for potential bidders to ask questions about the item in that listing is permitted."
so you said "contact me" but apparently you could have said
"email me" ????
Anyway just as I thought
Sellersโ listings may include a link that opens an email client or Web form for potential bidders to ask questions about the item in the listing (links are not permitted from the Web form, however). Please note that the link may only be used to enable an email client or Web form. It may not direct a buyer to another Web page that promotes items for sale outside-of-eBay.

Well, I've just sent them a please explain. Anyone can look up an address in the phone book and contact a seller directly to make a purchase; now, in my opinion, that would be circumventing fees and deserving of a policy violation.
I know it's better to phone however I've kept copies of all their emails relating to the stupid policy violations and suspensions they have continually dished out to me since September.

Yes Im so confused as to why they would even allow you to list a brick and mortar address because then you could just drive to the store if it was close enough and touch, feel, look at the item and purchase, hence no fee to ebay. But I guess Ebay wants to work together with B&M stores and need to cooperate with them.
