I feel that Australia Post are leaning heavily on the online sales sector to compensate for the loss of snail mail revenue and frankly, talk about grabbing the low hanging fruit. Surely they saw the situation with ordinary mail happening and rather than thinking 'outside the box' or being innovative they have transferred their losses to the sellers and buyers online. I am becoming disenchanted with online selling, feel squeezed by Australia Post on one side and Ebay on the other side, with their Promotional charges. Is it possible that without paying these extra promo charges that your listing sinks to the bottom of peoples notice, very hard to measure.

i've joked with a few postmasters that have owned our local PO.....
"the aus post satchel bags are probably a better investment than the ASX"
put 10k into prepaid satchels and see how much they'd cost you 2 years later.
seems every quarter it's Aus Post dedication to raise prices on a service...regardless of market indices ..every quarter

I'll give you that one. Except it's annually.
I have satchels I bought for $9.31 18 months ago. Current cost is $10 high.
Before the next increase I will invest in a few more.

I use mypost business and just purchase postage as I need it as there is no pre paid option. My average postage cost is around $9 per small satchel and the only outlay is $18 for a hundred satchels. This then allows me to invest any spare cash into more stock to sell.
