Australia Post do not issue lodgement receipts as of 19/5

My local post office told me that Australia Post no longer issues lodgement receipts. Does anyone else have concerns about needing proof of lodgement in case of a missing parcel?

I think it must be your PO have a meltdown - you need a lodgment receipt because with ordinary parcels how will you know the tracking number?   Tell em they're dreaming

Lodgement receipts are slowly phasing out. Post Offices will use whatever they have left if any remaining.

I use Aust.Post Bussiness Centre and now only get a normal receipt with just a tracking number.

There is room where you can write buyers details on the back.

today I lodged my first parcel using the new C&S labels (ie - non-ebay ones).

I didn't get a lodgement receipt, the post office staff insisted that it no longer prints one when scanned.

I rang up C&S when I got home, and was told that the 500g, 3kg satchels etc should still get a lodgement receipt, and that my local PO could call  AP Help Desk to be taught how to do it.  Cause I can't ring my PO directly,  I rang Aust Post general phone line, and customer service then rang my local PO, and explained everything to them and asked that they contact their help desk for instructions...

Your PO is lying if they say they don't issue lodgement receipts and its being phased out - what carp.

They obviously don't want to learn the new scanning screens they have to go to which were brought in 2 weeks ago.

If they are in the wrong screen the receipt doesn't print and item needs to be scanned again.

This was explained to me last week bt my PO when a scaned item didn't print out a lodgement receipt.  She said she was in the wrong screen and tried again and it pribtred.

I had the same issue the other day lodging a click and send item, I usually get a lodgment receipt and when I requested it this time he said they arent available, it doesnt give them the option to print one out. This was never an issue before.
