Australian transaction to the US, is it possible to refund in $USD?

Hello, I've had a transaction from a buyer in the USA and would like to issue them a partial refund. Is it possible to refund them in USD? The only option in Issue a Refund is AUD. The other options are in Send Money but don't have an option to refund, only pay for goods. Thanks for any help!

You can change the currency in your PP account then click on issue refund to the right of the payment and enter the amount you want to refund.

The refund they receive will be in US$ regardless of whether you make it in US or AU dollars, so it would probably be easier to work out the percentages then issue the % from the Australian dollar balance. (eg 10% refund back will mean you can refund 10% of the AU amount, and they'll get 10% of the US amount).

I refunded a buyer in the UK, and they issued the refund with an echeck, which took forever. I thought that it was because I only had au$ and us$ in my paypal account and no British Quids.

I have more than enough currency in Paypal to cover the refund.
