I have listed a Motor Cycle Back Rest on eBay & the Automatic Postage Cost has been calculated as $8.95.
I am new to selling & didn't know that I could change this amount.
However, as someone has put in a bid, I cannot change it now.
I believe that this cost is really a lot less than I will have to pay on this article.
Seeing that eBay listed this amount, who pays the difference when I mail the article?
I believe that the Postage will amount to over $20, but time will tell.
The last time I sold something, I added my own postage cost, so why is eBay adding such low costs now.
At this rate, after paying for the additional postage, over & above $8.95, I may come away from this sale with nothing?
Time will tell, but I am not very happy about this change in selling.

You have used Calculated Postage which shows a different amount dependent on the viewer's postcode. What you see is postage to your own postcode which is the standard $8.95 for items over 500g. I'm in Melbourne and the postage is $26.45. If you need to check that the amount is correct you can logout, search for your item and in the postcode box enter some different postcodes from around Australia.
