I had an item *under my seller id, that I was selling for a starting price of $195, I had 20 watchers and one person emailed me asking if I had a BIN price, I said make me an offer and I will consider so she offers $250, I email her saying yes I will add the BIN option to the listing so she can purchase it, I hear nothing from her then I check and she has won the auction but cheaper than what she offered. Im a bit peeved at the fact she didn't get back to me and I changed it. Would u be annoyed at this or am I just being petty? She had plenty of time to get back to me as I emailed her 2 days b4 the auction had ended, even an email saying I think I'll take my chance and bid would have been nice.

So let me get this right...you are complaining that it actually sold?

She's seemingly a little peeved that the person didn't follow through and BIN for the $250 after showing interest. IMO, it seemed the buyer actually wanted her to end the auction early and sell it off eBay. I feel they would have paid the $250 if that happened.

givemeaspell I hear you, I have people suggest BIN prices often and you email them back etc, add it to my listing and then never hear again and yes it is annoying.
I also agree its the nature of ebay.
I had a recent "potential buyer " send me a flood of questions one evening. whats your bin price? can I buy this now? where are you? how do I ??? it seemed like they were going thru my listings but not actually reading them. turned out despite them having 14 + feedback it was all from one seller and they hadn't a clue how ebay worked. I ended up cancelling several bids for them as they didn't seem vindictive and I answered many general ebay questions. in the end they missed out on a particular item they said they were keen on and purchased another. after many emails - then no response or payment after too many excuses they did get a non paying bidder strike and blocked. I'm sure their intentions were good but that was a total waste of time...
my point being sometimes people are genuinely interested and other times...............they're not!

give me a spell!
So actually you were not doing the buyer a favour, you were just doing your best to sell your item as soon as you could, for as much as you could get for it. ๐

Is that what I said I was complaining about? Do you actually come on here to give advise or just to make condescending remarks?

to kiwi an soul, thankyou, yes you get where I am coming from...it's not a big deal but at the time I posted the topic I was a tad annoyed at what had occurred, not what I had sold it at, it was only $12 less than what was offered but at the fact that I was emailed a few times and then when I agreed to what was offered then I heard nothing back then the bid...

Seinfeld was all about something, you have a coffee today? that's a show.
How ironic is that ? They didn't want to miss out on your item and requested the BIN option only to bid and win it for less.
This thread reminds me of Seinfeld which was said to be a show about nothing........

givemeabreak I think it was Jerry Seinfeld who said it. Your issue is meaningless and about nothing. Start another thread when there is a real problem you need to deal with.
