Hello community. the ebay feedback system allows buyers to judge the integrity of sellers by checking on their feedback. so what does it mean when you have several buyers now having left no feedback at all ?
i am still new to this & is it that they are not happy with something ?, or cannot be bothered leaving feedback if you have done all the right things as a seller ?, or are they just rude ? i know its a voluntary system, but it is really no effort to leave feedback. am i overthinking this or should i just not worry ?

Lots of buyers don't bother. To be honest I don't blame them, it's a pain. The ebay interface is poor. If you buy a lot on Ebay it is not easy to see which ones need feedback. And if you buy multiple items in an order you need to leave feedback for every single item. Why not just rate the experience of the ORDER not the item?
It may be tempting to solicit feedback. Do not do this. Ultimately the quantity of feedback you have becomes a vanity thing once you're past a certain number to be credible. And yes I know it's vanity because I'm closing in on 10,000 and I've been checking it every day or so to see if I've got the 10,000 badge or whatever it is 🙂
Focus on delivering a solid customer experience. Not on feedback numbers.

No you don't p9, just leaving feedback for one item out of that order is ample - any more than that still just counts as one feedback point anyway.

But… padi, the incredible feedback-giving thrill! Those who are feedbackaholics must give it; the addiction is powerful. To wake in the night soaked with perspiration and trembling with the longing to give a well-phrased piece of feedback… it cannot be assuaged except by giving in (or going to a feedback addiction weaning behavioural therapy clinic).

Sure but eBay will still prompt you to give feedback for the other items, which is silly when they only count one

Yes and no.
Sure, an order for 5 items counts to the seller as one feedback not 5. but ebay will nag buyers to leave feedback for all items.
When shopping, buyers can see feedback that was left specifically for that item. this is why Ebay nag users for feedback at an ITEM level rather than an order level. I guess that makes sense but the UI is clunky and a real PITA when you need to leave feedback for multi-item orders
I am both a buyer and a seller on ebay,. The system should be easier for buyers and allow them to leave order level rather than product level feedback. As a seller I see little to no benefit or difference between having 5k feedback, or 10k, or 50k. Once you get to a certain point you have credibility and the rest is vanity or irrelevant to a large extent
