Hello,
After purchasing quite a few things from "Australian" sellers recently through eBay, I have noticed that the packages are being sent from China.
How come these sellers are allowed to say their listings are from Australia when the packages come from China? It's obviously a deliberate misconception created to lure more buyers in.
People think they are buying from an Australian dealer when really they are purchasing another poor quality Chinese item.
Is this allowed? If so, why ?

The Chinese have made a fortune selling us poor quality **bleep**.

Don't buy it. Simple. You have the power.

If you buy it from an Australian supplier it just means it is already in a warehouse in Australia, this does not mean it is an Australian product.
If you read the fine print it will say that, and for the price what do you expect?
Very true.
If, for example, YOU had read the fine print, you would be aware that you have replied to a post made in December 2012. Or wasn't the print fine enough?

Hi,
Funny enough thats exactly what I am looking for; How do you add the specific location and advise about delayed delivery times

Every time we receive a sale we send a message to the buyer as confirmation using a template. We added the delay line. We also increased our Handlin Time on every item to 2 Business Days as recommended by eBay.
"Hello and thank you for your purchase. Your order will be mailed in our next business day pick up at 12pm. We will update you when posted. Please visit our store if you need other components for your build.
Australia Post have advised they are currently experiencing delivery delays due to a high volume of parcels in their network.
Should you have any questions or problems please get in touch with us.
Regards."

An item I bought on eBay on 15 May 2021 stated it was in Victoria Australia. But after 2 weeks and no tracking number uploaded, I followed up with the seller who told me it was a pre-sale item and shipping is on 6 June 2021. However, the tracking data was not uploaded until 14 June so I filed a return. eBay has sent me with a free shipping return.
It appears they order items in bulk from China once it has been paid for. That is good for their cashflow, but it is a poor customer experience. I could also order it from China and pay less and wait the same time.
